Karuizawa 1967 Cask #6426

A bottle of 1967 Karuizawa released in 2009 for the 10th anniversary of The Whisky Exchange. Not only is it very rare, this is also one of the oldest Karuizawas ever bottled, and one that scored 95 points on Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.

Black Bowmore 1964

A bottle of 1964 Black Bowmore, this was bottled in 1995 and is the final edition of the series. The whisky was distilled in the mid-1960s, aged in oloroso sherry casks below sea level and bottled around 30 years later in a limited run of just 1,812 bottles.

A rare Port Ellen, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2008 for that year’s Feis Ile festival at a strength of 54.7% ABV.

Springbank 1919

A very rare miniature of 1919 Springbank. This version comes in a green glass bottle and only nine were produced. This is bottle number five.

Double OO – Old Orkney Stromness Whisky

An incredibly old miniature of Stromness distillery’s Double O Old Orkney whisky. Stromness closed in 1928 and was demolished in the 1940s, meaning this whisky was produced nearly a century ago.

A 94cl 1970s’ bottling of Talisker 12 Year Old which could contain whisky distilled in the late 1950s.

A bottle of 1966 Jura that was aged for 20 years and bottled in 1986 by R W Duthie & Co, Aberdeen, before being imported into the United States by Pellegrini Imports for Corti Brothers.
