Buchanan’s filled just 60 decanters with this whisky. Distilled in 1924 at Royal Brackla distillery and bottled in 1985 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Emperor Hirohito’s accession to the throne a year later.

North Port 1964 Cadenhead’s, 17 Year Old

A bottle of North Port 17 Year Old, distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1981 by Cadenhead’s.

North Port distillery was founded in 1820 under the name Townhead. It was renamed Brechin in 1832 and North Port in 1839. Throughout its life, most of the distillery’s output went into blends, though some independent bottlings of single malt, such as this one, do exist. The distillery closed in 1983.
