Karuizawa 31 Years Old Cask #3555
An intense and impressive 31-year-old whisky from Karuizawa, bottled specially for The Whisky Exchange with the famous Geisha labels. Matured in a sherry cask.
Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, they became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.

A stunning 33-year-old blend from the hands of Ichiro Akuto.
Ichiro owns Chichibu distillery and also old stocks of the now-closed Hanyu and Kawasaki distilleries. Kawasaki used to produce a grain whisky which was aged in sherry casks. Each bottled was hand-signed by Ichiro Akuto itself.
