Balvenie 1952 Cask 191 50 Year Old

Certain to generate some attention is bottle of The Balvenie 1952. At 50 years old, this is the among the oldest Balvenies ever released.

This was bottled at a natural strength of 45.1% ABV in 2002 and is presented in a wooden case which is carved to fit the bottle perfectly.

This is bottle number 26 of 83 from sherry cask number 191.

This lot contains two bottles of Karuizawa Golden Geisha, bottled for Elixir distillers. These bottles have mirror image labels and each is presented in a wooden case.

1 x Karuizawa 33 Year Old, matured in sherry cask #3579. This is bottle number 100 of 129

Macallan Gran Reserva

This lot contains four bottles of The Macallan Gran Reserva from consecutive vintages:

1 x The Macallan Gran Reserva 18 Year Old. This was distilled in 1979, matured in sherry casks and bottled in 1997. This bottling scored 91 points on Serge Valentin’s whiskyfun.com.

1 x The Macallan Gran Reserva 18 Year Old. This was distilled in 1980, matured in sherry casks and bottled in 1999.

1 x The Macallan Gran Reserva 18 Year Old. This was distilled in 1981 and matured in sherry casks.

1 x The Macallan Gran 1982 Reserva. This was matured in sherry casks and bottled in 2002. This bottle is unboxed.

A bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac, presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter with stopper.

This was bottled for the Italian market, we estimate in the 1970s.

This is decanter number 0080773.

Caroni Navy Rum, bottled 1960s

A bottle of Caroni Extra Strong Navy Rum.

The label reads: A fine old rum from the British West Indies, Distilled by Caroni Limited, a subsidiary of Tate & Lyle Investments Ltd.
Imported and distributed by Unital (Trinidad) Limited, Devonshire House, Mayfair Place, London NW1.

We estimate this was bottled in the 1960s.

Tomintoul 1974, 40 Year Old Quadruple Cask

A bottle of Tomintoul 40 Year Old presented in a handmade crystal decanter and wooden presentation case. This was bottled at cask strength from four bourbon hogsheads laid down in 1974, and selected by Master Distiller Robert Fleming.

This is bottle number 407 of 500.

Macallan Travel Series: Twenties, Thirties, Forties & Fifties

This lot contains the compete Travel Series from The Macallan.

This range was created by The Macallan’s Master Distiller to re-create the style of whisky produced at the distillery throughout the decades. Each bottle represents a different decade, from the 1920s when The Macallan was mainly used for blends, to the 1950s which saw sherry casks become available again following World War II.
