Johnnie Walker 1820-1970, 150th Anniversary Private Bottling

A crystal decanter of Johnnie Walker 1820-1970, a special bottling for the 150th anniversary of Johnnie Walker in 1970 that was never made available commercially.

The base of the decanter is inscribed with: Orrefors H.2498/111.

Glenmorangie 1963, bottled 1987, Re-bottled 2013

A bottle of Glenmorangie distilled in 1963. It was matured in oak casks for 23 years and bottled & archived in 1987. It was rebottled in 2013 to mark Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary.

The label reads: This whisky was originally bottled in 1987. After an examination of its contents by Dr Bill Lumsden, this very rare whisky has been carefully re-bottled for future generations to enjoy.

The label is made of .925 silver and the bottle is presented in a leather-strapped box.
This was imported to the USA by Möet Hennessy, Inc., New York, USA. This is bottle number 30 of 50.

Glenfiddich 50 Year Old

A bottle of Glenfiddich 50 Year Old, presented in a wooden case with a certificate of authenticity. This is bottled from nine casks: four filled on 17 July 1937, four filled on 25 November 1939, and one filled on 14 December 1939. These nine casks were vatted on 4 April 1990, and allowed to marry for a further year before bottling on 26 July 1991.

This is bottle number 383 of 500.

Karuizawa Emerald Geisha – Elixir Distillers

This lot contains two bottles of Karuizawa Emerald Geisha, bottled by Elixir distillers exclusively for The Whisky Exchange. These bottles have complementary labels and each is presented in a wooden case.

1 x Karuizawa 33 Year Old, matured in sherry cask #8908, 54.4% ABV. This is bottle number 082 of 170

1 x Karuizawa 35 Year Old, matured in bourbon cask #8518, 59.1% ABV. This is bottle number 179 of 265

Nikka 40 Year Old, 80th Anniversary

A bottle of The Nikka 40 Year Old. This was produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Nikka.

This blend is said to include Yoichi distilled in 1945, and Miyagikyo from 1969, with a malt content around 70%.

The bottle design is inspired by the layers of a kimono, and the Nikka emblem was hand-carved by Edobori craftsman, marrying traditional carving methods and modern sandblasting techniques. The stoppers are made from the wood of the casks used in the blend, and it comes with a tumbler.

A bottle of The Glendronach 44 Year Old Recherché. This was distilled in 1968 and matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt.

This is bottle number 546 of 632; it was bottled from cask number 005.

A bottle of Teeling 30 Year Old Vintage Reserve Irish single malt whiskey, from the Platinum Bottling series. This was distilled in 1983 and matured in a single bourbon cask for 30 years. This is bottle number 183 of 250; it was bottled from cask number 1983-01.
